Owen County EMS
The Department for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is the only 911 emergency medical provider responsible for providing prompt medical treatment and ambulance transportation for the seriously ill or injured within the geographical boundaries of Owen County.
This department is staffed with Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedics (EMT-P), EMT-Advanced (EMT-A), and EMT-Basic (EMT-B) personnel who provide service 24/7. In addition to emergency transportation, OCEMS provides limited scheduled non-emergent transports within the region. Owen County EMS provides community organizations and families with instructional courses related to First-Aid, CPR, and Stop-the-Bleed programs.

ADVANCED EMT COURSE SCHEDULED FOR FALL 2021
Owen County EMS will host an Advanced EMT Course beginning Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021. An entrance exam will begin at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. To register for the course, please click here. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 3, 2021.
